Glen Rock's Top Cop To Retire, New Chief Chosen
A public ceremony will be held next month to welcome a Glen Rock police chief as a 40-year veteran of the force retires.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — After 40 years on the Glen Rock police force, Dean Ackermann will retire as chief, he announced this week.
He will be replaced next month by 20-year GRPD veteran Captain Michael Trover, who was the choice of the mayor and council.
Ackermann has served for a decade as police chief, and wasn't above doing the small jobs. Last September, a bank manager flagged him down in the business district because a woman was about to withdraw money in what turned out to be a scam.
