NORTH JERSEY — Much will be going on with the weather in North Jersey this week, but not all at once.

While Hurricane Lee is not (currently) expected to come ashore in New Jersey when it reaches the area this weekend, several storms are expected to drench the region.

Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic, and Union counties are under a flood watch Wednesday until 6 p.m.

According to the National Hurricane Center, Hurricane Lee will be heading north through the Atlantic Ocean all week, but it expected to stay at sea as it passes New Jersey on Saturday — for now.

It may still have an effect on the surf and rip currents, forecasters say.

And Maine is now in the expected storm cone.

The storm will be closest to New Jersey on Saturday, according to the current forecast. Temperatures are expected to be in the 70s during the day, dropping to 59 at night.
