One Ferry Terminal Remains Closed In North Jersey, One Reopens: NY Waterway
A ferry terminal on the Jersey side of the Hudson River remained closed Wednesday morning, NY Waterway said.
NORTH JERSEY, NJ — After two NY Waterway ferry terminals closed on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River on Tuesday because of ice, one has reopened and one remains closed, the company said Wednesday.
In an update Wednesday morning around 7 a.m., the company said, "Edgewater Ferry is still in Suspension w/ Shuttle Buses Active to/from Port Imperial."
But the Liberty Harbor terminal in Jersey City is clear of ice and back in operation for Wednesday, they said.

The company carries an average of 32,000 commuters between Manhattan and New Jersey every day.
"Our substitute bus service can provide more accurate transit times for our Edgewater customers," a spokesperson said Tuesday.

The spokesperson noted, "As ice continues to flow through the Hudson River, NY Waterway’s experienced teams are working to safely navigate these challenging cold weather conditions. As always, our first priority is the safety of our passengers and crews."
