The market will only have local, sustainably-grown, non-GMO produce.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — The borough's inaugural farmers market will kickoff June 4.

"Every category that people look for at a farmers market is covered, and pop-up vendors will also be joining every week," said Laura Occhipinti, one of the market's organizers and a member of the Glen Rock Environmental Commission.
Two of the vendors include Farmburia of Glen Rock, the Mahwah Environmental Volunteer Organizations, which runs a huge farm, and Wood Farm in Warren County.

Students and residents will be volunteering with the market.
Glen Rock High School art students will be providing an interactive community art project every-other-week. Lizzmonade, a popular locally sourced fruit-infused lemonade stand, has hired members of the community, including Glen Rock High School and college students, to staff its booth.
Merves Kitchen and Bakery, Corbett's Kitchen and Artisan Oven Central Bread Bakery will also have a presence at the market.
Local musicians will perform at the market throughout the summer.
The market will be held every Sunday until Oct. 15 at the Borough Hall employee parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine.
Organizers tested the feasibility of having a monthslong farmers market after seeing the response from three test markets held in the fall of 2016.
“This will be a valued and loved addition to our borough," said Glen Rock Councilwoman Amy Martin. "Our pilot market surveys proved that the Sunday markets resulted in notable downtown retail sales."
There will be ribbon-cutting ceremony June 4 at 11 a.m.
