Kasschau Shell Concert a Tribute to Warren Grim

Three of Ridgewood's most revered cultural institutions will perform together on Tuesday, July 7th.

The Kasschau Band Shell on Veterans Field in Ridgewood, NJ will be the site of a concert honoring the memory of the late and loved Warren Grim. The Orpheus Club Men’s Chorus of Ridgewood is hosting the event. The concert will feature both individual and ensemble performances by Orpheus and its guests, The Ridgewood Choral and The Ridgewood Concert Band. A diverse musical program including patriotic airs, Broadway and popular songs, Sousa marches, and classical pieces will delight the most eclectic tastes.

Over the course of four decades Warren Grim has served as a music teacher in the Ridgewood school system, and as Musical Director of the Ridgewood Village Band, among other notable accomplishments. An enduring influence for the good, he enriched the lives of a generation of Ridgewood students and of the Village as a whole. Warren died this past September aged 91 years. It is altogether fitting that Warren’s life and legacy be remembered in this special way.

The Orpheus Club Men’s Chorus of Ridgewood is directed by John Palatucci and accompanied by pianist, Ron Levy. The Ridgewood Choral is directed by Marjorie Vandervoort and accompanied by pianist Susan LaFever. The Ridgewood Concert Band is directed by Dr. Christian Wilhjelm.
