A New Jersey home took the brunt of a lightning strike during a thunderstorm on Tuesday that set it on fire, police said.

Three dogs were rescued after the afternoon lightning strike set the Ridgewood attic on fire, according to police.

Ridgewood, Waldwick and Ho-Ho-Kus firefighters responded to the Victorian home on Hillcrest Road following the strike around 3:30 p.m. No injuries were reported, according to Daily Voice.
