Man ODs On Heroin In Glen Rock Home: Police

The man's sister called police Friday morning when she became concerned for his welfare, police said.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — A 40-year-old man died of an accidental heroin overdose Friday morning, police said.

Police were dispatched to a borough home just after 9 a.m. Friday on a report of an unresponsive man with a head injury, said Chief Dean Ackermann. Officer Sarah McGil and another officer were met by the homeowner's daughter, who was also the victim's sister.

Officers found the lifeless man in the kitchen near a hypodermic syringe, drug paraphernalia with fresh heroin residue, two empty glassine baggies, 20 baggies of heroin and multiple vitals of suspected heroin, the chief said.
