Man Struck By Vehicle Crossing Ridgewood Street Friday: Police

The 32-year-old driver from Mahwah was turning north onto North Maple Avenue from East Ridgewood Avenue when he hit the pedestrian.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A pedestrian was injured when he was hit by a vehicle at North Maple Avenue and East Ridgewood Avenue Friday morning, police said.

The 26-year-old pedestrian from Hawthorne was hit in a crosswalk at about 8:10 a.m., said Chief Jacqueline Luthcke. He was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, she said.

The 32-year-old driver from Mahwah was turning north onto North Maple Avenue from East Ridgewood Avenue when he hit the pedestrian, Luthcke said. The driver was issued three summonses.
