More Than 10 Roads Close In Ridgewood Due To Storm, Flooding

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — At least 10 roads in Ridgewood were closed as of Wednesday morning, the village reported at 6 a.m. "Please respect and follow all detours and road closures," they wrote.

A flood warning in Bergen County continues until 1 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11.

Ridgewood and at least eight other school districts in the county held delayed openings Wednesday (see updates).

Rivers Flood

The Saddle River rose to 10.24 feet early Wednesday. Flood stage is 5.5. Major flooding is 8 feet or more.

The Ramapo River rose to 13.5 feet, two feet over flood stage.

Rainfall reports from NWS spotters said Mahwah got the most rain, a little over 1.8 inches.
