More Than $28,000 Raised For Glen Rock Boy With Leukemia

Money was raised in three days online for 6-year-old Dylan Canfield.

More than $28,000 has been donated in three days to help 6-year-old Dylan Canfield battle Leukemia.

Marissa Olsen, a friend of the Canfield family, started a GoFundMe campaign Monday to help the family with medical expenses. The original goal of $8,000 was met in less than a day. Subsequent goals of $15,000 and $20,000 were also quickly met. Donations may still be made on the campaign’s GoFundMe.com page.

“It’s just amazing to see the outpouring of support and love for Dylan and Elissa,” Olsen said.

Canfield was diagnosed with the disease this week, which has been difficult on Canfield and his mother Elissa because his father Bill died of cancer when Canfield was a baby.

Olsen said that a fundraiser for the family will be held in the fall.
