Municipal Budget To Be Introduced At Ridgewood Council Meeting Wednesday

  • The Village’s estimated $31.3 million tax levy is slated to be introduced at a council meeting Wednesday. If approved, the average homeowner would pay about $47 more in taxes this year and about $56 when the library’s budget is factored into the calculations.

A public hearing and adoption is planned for May 27.

  • The Ridgewood Arts Council (RAC) will host an information social at Village Hall at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The hour-long session will feature a demonstration of the RAC’s interactive community arts calendar.

The event is designed to raise awareness of the council’s mission to promote and support the role that the arts play in Ridgewood.

  • A jazz concert will be held at West Side Presbyterian Church at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets cost $40 for adults, $30 for senior citizens, $20 for young adults, and $10 for students. Free childcare will be available.
