The Thursday morning commute in parts of New Jersey could be slippery, as some winter weather is headed to the region overnight.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for parts of Northern New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania, saying periods of snow could make for poor travel conditions Thursday morning.

Accumulation of up to 3 inches is possible north of I-78. Even in Central and Southern New Jersey, where no significant accumulation is expected, there could be snow showers mixed with rain early Thursday that could make for a messy morning commute.
