New Milford Man Exposed Self To Minor Online, Produced Sex Abuse Materials: Prosecutor

A Bergen County man was arrested for producing child sex abuse materials, prosecutors said.

NEW MILFORD, NJ — A New Milford man was charged Friday with first-degree production of child pornography, prosecutors said.

Markos C. Alpar, 28, was arrested after a months-long investigation into online child endangerment and child sex abuse materials, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors said investigators determined that Alpar had online sexual chats with a minor in December 2024 and January 2025.

"During the chats, Alpar exposed his genitalia to the juvenile while communicating online," prosecutors said. "He also instructed the juvenile to produce and send him sexual photos and/or videos of the child’s intimate parts."

Investigators also determined that Alpar used the internet to view, download, or possess items depicting nude or sexually explicit children.

of a child, and lewdness, a disorderly persons offense.

He was taken to the Bergen County Jail, made a first appearance, and remains in custody to await a detention hearing in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, officials said.
