Next Step In Ridgewood's Multi-family Housing Saga Delayed

The Ridgewood Planning Board will push back their planned meeting on constructing multi-family housing downtown from April 7 to April 21.

Any further decision about the proposed construction of multifamily housing in downtown Ridgewood will be postponed from April 7 to April 21, according to a NorthJersey.com report.

The Ridgewood Planning Board announced the planned delay for the public hearing on the topic at the Village Council meeting last Wednesday night, according to the report.

Planning Board member and Councilwoman Susan Knudsen noted that the decision was made so that information from the League of Municipalities, addressing the state Supreme Court’s March ruling that courts could determine affordable housing guidelines, would be available. She said she hoped the information would be available on April 20, according to the report.
