NFL Gives Bergen High School A Golden Ball In Honor Of Super Bowl-Winning Alum
Hogan won Super Bowl 51 with the New England Patriots in February.

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — Ramapo High School received a gift from the NFL recently in honor of arguably one of its most famous alumnus.
The school was given a gold-colored football emblazoned with the NFL logo and Hogan's name in honor of his contribution to getting the Patriots to, and winning, Super Bowl 51.
"It's a great tribute to Chris," Drew Gibbs, Ramapo's head football coach told NorthJersey.com.

Hogan played lacrosse at Ramapo and for three years at Penn State University. Then he played a year of football at Monmouth University. He went undrafted and had short stints with three NFL teams, including the Giants, before signing with the Buffalo Bills in 2012.
Hogan had a breakout season with the Bills in 2014 and signed with the Patriots in 2014.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick recently said Hogan was one of the team's best players, NorthJersey.com reported.
The NFL launched its Super Bowl High School Honor Roll at the beginning of the 2015-16 season as part of its nationwide Super Bowl 50 celebration campaign.
High schools will be given a golden ball if they had an alumnus, as a player or coach, who was on the team's active roster when they played in the Super Bowl.
