No Injuries Reported In Glen Rock House Fire: Police Blotter

A cooking oil fire on Doremus Avenue was contained, police said, with no one injured.

09-08-2020

6:25 p.m. – Patrols, along with Glen Rock Firefighters, were dispatched to a reported fire inside a home on the 500 Block of Doremus Avenue. A cooking oil fire, contained to the stove, was quickly extinguished and the house was ventilated. Damages were contained to the stove and cabinetry. There were no injuries.

09-10-2020

7:26 p.m. – The manager at the Glen Courts Senior Citizen complex requested police assistance after finding an adult male in a semiconscious state laying on the grass to the rear of the building. Officers located a 49-year-old homeless man in a highly intoxicated state who was unable to care for himself. He was subsequently transported by ambulance to New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus for detox.

1:19 p.m. – The administration of the Glen Rock High School reported being alerted to a disturbing video showing a boy being abused by other juveniles. The information was received via email, from a source not known to school officials. The matter was reviewed by the Detective Bureau and was determined to have occurred in Fair Lawn where an active investigation is already in progress. The information concerning the video was turned over to Fair Lawn Detectives.
