Olympic Gold-Medalist Laurie Hernandez To Sign Books In Ridgewood Sunday
The 'Dancing With The Stars' champion will be at Bookends bookstore at 1 p.m.

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Olympic gold-medalist Laurie Hernandez will sign copies of her new book "I Got This: To Gold and Beyond," at Bookends bookstore Sunday at 1 p.m.
The New Brunswick-born Hernandez won gold and silver medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics. She won the silver medal in the balance beam competition and helped her team win the gold. Hernandez also won the last season of "Dancing With The Stars."
Hernandez hopes the memoir will inspire kids and adults to not only go and achieve their dreams, but have a support system around them when they do.

"“When I felt like I couldn’t do it by myself, I had my family there with me,” Hernandez told NorthJersey.com. “They were always there saying ‘You can do it’ and ‘We believe in you.’ To have that support, it’s the extra piece."
Each group or family who purchases a book will get to take a photo with Hernandez. Kids 8 and older must purchase a book from Bookends to attend the event.
