Between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 19, guests are invited to sample a range of therapeutic classes designed to help adults who lose their sight lead rich, fulfilling lives. Yoga, Fit & Balance, Horticultural Therapy, Healing through Drumming, are among the courses offered. All are widely accepted as healing arts by the medical profession and support both physical and emotional health and feelings of well-being.
Vision Loss Alliance of New Jersey, formerly NJ Foundation for the Blind, recently relocated its Bergen County classes to the Ridgewood Village Hall at 131 North Maple Avenue to improve access for participants. Classes meet in the first floor senior lounge.
