Over 1K Lost Power In Ridgewood As Ida Pummeled New Jersey
Though power returned to most customers around 9 p.m., the village also dealt with flooding as Ida moved through the state.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Over 1,000 people lost power in Ridgewood as the remnants of Tropical Depression Ida brought excessive rain, flooding and even confirmed tornadoes to parts of New Jersey.
PSE&G reported that 1,080 people were without power in the village around 7:30 p.m., making up the vast majority of the 1,500-plus customers affected. By just after 9 p.m., however, the number dwindled to just 120.
That wasn't the end of the problems for the village, however, as multiple roads were flooded as heavy rains hammered North Jersey.
