Parkmobile Application Goes Live In Ridgewood Monday
Application links to residents' credit cards.

The Village will roll out its new electronic parking service May 11.
Residents and commuters can pay ditch the coins and for their parking using the free smartphone application.
Users need to register their vehicle’s license plate at parkmobile.com or, using the app, link their credit card to their account. Vehicles can be stored on more than one device.

Also beginning Monday, the multi-space meter in the Chestnut Street parking lot will be deactivated and people will have to use the application to pay for parking. The rate is .50 center per hour.
The app provides a countdown timer that lets people know just how much time they have remaining to park. The app also sends out push notifications 15 minutes before the time expires.

The application is available for iPhones, Android, Windows, Blackberry, and Amazon devices.

In related news, people can park in the Cottage Place parking lot for up to eight hours, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., officials announced. The rate is .75 cents an hour.
