Pomptonian will work directly with students to design new scratch-cooked options like Mediterranean and Asian bowls tailored to local tastes.

No home football, soccer games at New Jersey high school due to flood damage (abc7ny.com) — Ridgewood High School's football and soccer teams will lose all home games this fall after flooding left their turf fields unsafe and in need of over $1 million in repairs. Athletes will rely on neighboring schools' fields, while village and school officials work together to support displaced teams and preserve school spirit.

Local Event: The 61st Season of Ars Musica Chorale - Open rehearsal for new members (patch.com) — Ridgewood will host Ars Musica Chorale's entire 2026–2027 concert season, with four major performances at West Side Presbyterian and Bethlehem Lutheran churches and auditions starting September 8. Local singers can join weekly Tuesday rehearsals and perform everything from Brahms to Broadway, supported in part by the Ridgewood Arts Foundation.
