PEARL RIVER FARMERS' MARKET - FRIDAY, AUGUST 14TH

Hello from the Farmers’ Market! We hope to see you tomorrow, Friday August 14th from 10 am -2pm. Due to a lack of customers between 2 and 4 p.m. we will be shortening market hours until Labor Day.
We may be shortening the day, but we won’t be slowing down. At tomorrow’s market, we will feature our regular vendors, in addition to some guests: Lorna’s Naturals(homemade soaps and bath products), Angel Works (handmade crafts and custom flip-flops). There will be a special piano performance from our friend Larry Hunt at 11am; a perfect time to come grab a sandwich, lemonade, some ripe peaches and relax at our cafe tables. Representatives from the Cornell Cooperative Extension will be here answering questions about gardening and composting, and our featured local business at the Chamber of Commerce table will be Touchstone Crystal by Swarovski.
Our vendors carry all the essentials for perfect summer meals - try a new recipe out of our featured free recipes, or just go simple and make a meal out of prepared items you will find at the market: pot pies, cucumber salads, pestos, sandwiches; tomatoes and free range eggs so good they are easily a meal unto themselves. While you shop, the kids can be occupied with our modeling clay craft.
For your calendar: There will be a performance by The Bossy Frog Band on August 28.
Home gardeners: Bring and show off your homegrown vegetables that day (August 28th) and win ribbons and prizes for: “most unusual vegetable”; “best tasting tomato” and more - details to follow.
