Pearl River Farmers' Market - Friday, August 28th, 10am-2pm

Good afternoon from the Farmers’ Market!

First, thank you for helping us reach 1000 “likes” on Facebook! There is a link to our facebook page and website at the bottom of this page; both are updated weekly with market events. This Friday, the Market will feature a special performance by The Bossy Frog Band at 11 AM. As always, there will be a free children’s craft all day. We will also have free coffee with any purchase this week.

Come celebrate local gardeners with our “Home Grown” Contest! Bring your own home garden produce to the market between 9 and 11 am on Friday, fill out a short entry form, and you could win ribbons and local honey in 5 categories:
“Best tomato”
“Most Unusual Fruit or Vegetable”
“Best Herb Bouquet”
“Biggest Squash”
“Children’s Category-Best in Show” (must have been planted and cared for by child up to 18)
Winners will be announced after the Bossy Frog Performance.

We live in a great community, and the market depends on your support. In recent weeks, attendance has dwindled to about 100 customers per day ( we average about 500+ on Opening Days and special events) and one farm was forced to withdraw for financial reasons. Please help us spread the word about the market to all your neighbors so we can continue to grow and consider moving to a more central location. Meanwhile, we will continue to have special events and celebrate our great vendors and awesome community. Come on out this Friday and meet your neighbors!
