Pearl River Farmers' Market Opening Day June 5th

The Pearl River Farmers’ Market will be kicking off its second year on Friday, June 5, at 10 AM at The River, 253 Ehrhardt Road in Pearl River, New York. This year’s market will feature more vendors and extended hours; the market will run every Friday through October from 10am to 4pm.

Opening Day events include free reusable shopping totes with market logo for 1st 100 customers; raffles and giveaways all day, and performance by Mario the Magician at 12 noon. The children’s corner will feature a make-your-own lettuce garden activity. Returning farms include W. Rogowski, a Certified Natural Grower, and Orangetown’s own Van Houten Farms. The market is pleased to welcome Do Re Me Farm from New Hampton, NY to add to the bounty of Hudson Valley produce found at the market. Customers will also be able to purchase potted plants and seedlings, local honey, grass-fed meats, fresh mozzarella, free-range eggs, jams and jellies, pickles, spices, and baked goods. Crafts, homemade soaps, and children’s books will also be featured by guest vendors. Rockland Roots Food truck will be back with delicious, locally sourced prepared food in addition to a variety of guest caterers each week. There is a small cafe area with rustic tables and chairs for patrons to enjoy their purchases as well as plenty of grassy areas for a picnic lunch.

The market is run by three local moms and generously supported by The River, Pearl River Chamber of Commerce and local sponsors. This year they will be accepting fresh produce donations from customers and vendors each week to be donated to People to People in Nanuet.
