Police: Appliances Stolen From Spring Avenue Home

Ridgewood Police Department issues summary of recent activity in the village.

The Ridgewood Police Department issued a summary of recent activity Tuesday.

  • On May 12, a Ridgewood resident reported his credit card was used in numerous places. The victim believes that his wallet taken while he was at the YMCA. The matter is under investigation.
  • On May 15, patrol responded to Van Neste Park on a report of a juvenile threatening people with a stun gun. The juvenile was located and a stun gun was recovered. The matter is under further investigation pending juvenile complaints.
  • On May 16, a Fort Lee resident reported that her home on Spring Avenue was entered and the kitchen appliances were stolen. The matter is under investigation.
  • On May 17, a teacher from Benjamin Franklin Middle School reported a sign stolen from the front of the building. The Matter is under investigation.
  • On May 18, patrol responded to a South Hillside residence on a report of a group of juveniles climbing through the window of a vacant house. A juvenile and two adults were located at the home.

During the investigation Julia Csorba 18 of Ridgewood was found to be in possession of marijuana. She was charged with possession of marijuana and released pending an appearance in Ridgewood Municipal Court.

All defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, police said.
