Police Find Loaded 9MM Glock, Hollow-Point Ammo During Traffic Stop
The man had a permit to carry the gun in Tennessee, it was not valid in New Jersey, police said.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — A Tennessee man was arrested after police found a 9mm handgun and magazine loaded with hollow-point bullets during a traffic stop Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
Rayan A. Parrish, 23, of Greenbrier, Tenn. was arrested after police stopped him for driving with an obstructed windshield on Route 208 North just after 3:30 p.m., said Chief Dean Ackermann.
Police found a 9mm Glock handgun and a magazine loaded with 15 rounds of hollow-point bullets, Ackermann said. Parrish had a permit out of Tennessee to carry the gun, but the permit is not valid in New Jersey, the chief said.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office directed preliminary charges be filed against Parrish for possessing unlawful ammunition, Ackermann said. Other charges may be filed pending a review by the prosecutor's office.
Legal questions arose regarding the way the gun was transported and its proximity to the ammunition, Ackermann said. The issue of transporting the weapon over state lines is also being investigated.
