Police Issue Warning After Vehicle Stolen, Others Ransacked

Authorities urge residents to remove valuable items from their vehicles and lock them.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Local police are warning residents to lock their vehicles after one was stolen and several were ransacked overnight.

Paramus Police said several vehicles in the Ridgewood-Paramus area were ransacked and another was stolen overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

The vehicle was stolen from the South Paramus Road area, but police did not provide exact streets.

Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg could not immediately be reached for comment.

Police said residents should lock their vehicles and not leave key fobs or valuables inside them. Police ask residents to immediately report suspicious people and vehicles by calling 911.
