Ridgewood PSEG Project Brings Traffic Detours, Delays
Traffic delays on South and North Broad streets and Franklin Avenue expected.

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Work began Monday on a three-month long project in downtown Ridgewood, a project that is expected to cause traffic delays on South and North Broad streets and Franklin Avenue.
The project is expected to be completed in April.
Work was slated to begin in September, but it was delayed until Monday to avoid traffic problems in the Central Business District during the holiday season.

New underground electric circuits and pipes, along with manholes, will be installed on a number of downtown streets:
- South Broad Street between Passaic Street and East Ridgewood Avenue
- North Broad Street from East Ridgewood Avenue to Franklin Avenue
- Franklin Avenue from North Broad and Chestnut streets and at the Franklin Avenue and Walnut Street intersection
Alternating traffic patterns and detours are in effect near work sites, said Andrew Wesley, a PSEG public affairs specialist said.

Residents and motorists should expect delays near work sites and plan extra travel time.
