Raw Milk and Informed Consumer Choice

April 8th, 7 PM at Paramus Public Library, local Weston A. Price chapter presents "Raw Milk and Informed Consumer Choice"

Raw Milk and Informed Consumer Choice

Demand for fresh whole fat unprocessed milk, commonly referred to as raw milk, has increased markedly. Public health officials teach that pasteurization of milk is a major public health victory of the last century. They make pronouncements relentlessly warning of the dangers of raw milk without a full analysis of what is actually in the scientific record. This presentation with speaker Joe Heckman, soil scientist and Rutgers University professor, will draw a distinction between risks associated with carefully-produced, legitimate food-quality raw milk intended for direct human consumption, and poor quality milk that cannot be safely consumed by people in raw form.

This presentation is free and open to the public. Chapter news and upcoming events will also be discussed. The event starts at 7 PM on Wednesday, April 8th at the Paramus Public Library at 116 East Century Road in Paramus, NJ.

Weston A. Price Foundation

The Weston A. Price Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charity founded in 1999 to disseminate the research of nutrition pioneer Dr. Weston Price, whose studies of isolated nonindustrialized peoples established the parameters of human health and determined the optimum characteristics of human diets. Dr. Price’s research demonstrated that humans achieve perfect physical form and perfect health generation after generation only when they consume nutrient-dense whole foods and the vital fat-soluble activators found exclusively in animal fats. The Foundation is dedicated to restoring nutrient-dense foods to the human diet through education, research and activism. It supports a number of movements that contribute to this objective including accurate nutrition instruction, organic and biodynamic farming, pasture-feeding of livestock, community-supported farms, honest and informative labeling, prepared parenting and nurturing therapies.
