Ridgewood Bomb-Maker Allowed To Represent Himself

The suspect, a doctor, was granted his request by a judge.

A man suspected of storing up weapons and materials needed to create bombs will be allowed to represent himself in court, according to a NorthJersey.com report.

Roberto Rivera is a Ridgewood doctor who prosecutors say stored bomb detonators, assault rifles and a large capacity magazine along with virulent chemicals including nitric acid, hydrogen peroxide, sulfuric acid and glycerin in his home, according to reports.

Rivera’s request to defend himself was granted by Judge Edward Jerejian, the report stated.

He is facing up to decades in prison, according to the report.
