Ridgewood College Professors Honored For Work
Phil Dolce was recognized for his research of the American suburbs.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ - Two Ridgewood and one Glen Rock professors were honored for their work at Bergen Community College.
Phil Dolce earned the college’s John and Suanne Roueche Excellence Award. Dolce has taught at the college for more than 45 years, focusing his research on the social, economic, political, and cultural impact of the American suburbs.
The history professor helped make Bergen the only community college to earn entry into the Cultures of the Suburbs International Research Network last year.

Mina Ahn, also of Ridgewood, earned a fellowship for the college’s ESL Learning Community, a program of paired classes, assignments, professors, and students that works to promote synergy in the learning process.
Dean of Student Affairs Denise Liguori, a Glen Rock resident, was recognized for helped lead the college’s Project Graduation initiative. The program works with students to ensure they graduate from the college. The initiative has played a significant role in the college securing the state’s top ranking for associate degree graduates for two consecutive years.
