Ridgewood Council Loosens Pomander Walk Parking Restrictions
Motorists may park all day on the southwest side of the street and for two hours on the northeast side between 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The Village Council Wednesday changed the controversial parking restrictions on Pomander Walk.
The new rules permit motorists to park all day on the southwest side of the street and for two hours on the northeast side between 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The previous council changed the rules and prohibited vehicles from parking on Pomander, a cul-du-sac.

Currently, vehicles are prohibited from parking on Pomander, a cul-du-sac located off Godwin Avenue near Whole Foods Market. Nearby business owners previously said the restrictions affected their ability to make money.

The owner of Santoni's Pizza said at a council meeting in April that the restrictions caused him to lose 50 percent of his business since they were enacted last September.
