Ridgewood Elementary School Lunches To Cost More Next Year

Paid and featured lunches to cost .25 cents more. Gluten-free lunches to increase $1.

The cost of lunches at Ridgewood elementary schools is going up this upcoming academic year.

Paid and featured lunches at all elementary schools and Benjamin Franklin and George Washington middle schools will cost .25 cents more than they did last year. This is an annual increase of about $45 if a student eats a school-prepared lunch everyday.

Gluten-free lunches at elementary schools will cost $1 more.

The Board of Education approved the following prices at its most recent meeting July 20:

Paid lunch: $3.75

Featured favorite lunch: $5

Gluten-free lunch: $5.75

Fruit juice at the elementary schools will cost $1.75.

Reduced-cost lunches and milk will continue to cost .50 and .75 each, respectively.
