Ridgewood, Glen Rock Well Represented on All-Suburban Team

Several and hockey players have been selected as first-teamers on the All-Suburban team for 2012. The annual list is chosen by the sports department of The Ridgewood News.

Two Maroons players – defenseman Dave Hefferen and forward Peter McGinley – got the honors from the , which won the Big North Gold Division for the second consecutive year. Ridgewood underclassmen Zach Kinkella and Corey Morgan made the second team All-Suburban squad.

An anchor on Glen Rock's defense, was the lone Panther on the list. The senior also chipped in 25 points on offense.

Glen Rock coach Sergio Fernandez, in his sixth year, led the team to within a game of the state championship and an overall 15-9-3 record. Though the Panthers , Fernandez was selected as the top coach in the county.
