Ridgewood High School Ranked The 35th Most Challenging High School In N.J.

The Washington Post took into account the number of kids who pass a college-level exam, among other factors.

Ridgewood High School has been ranked the 35th most challenging high school in New Jersey by The Washington Post.

The school went up four spots from last year’s ranking of 39.

A school’s index score is the number of college-level tests given at a school in the previous calendar year divided by the number of graduates.

Eighty-eight percent of graduates are attending four-year colleges while 98 percent of students graduate in four years. The school offers 18 Advanced Placement courses.

Schools were ranked using various criteria, including the percentage of students who passed at least one college-level test in high school and the percentage of students who come from families who quality for lunch subsidies.
