Ridgewood High School Ranked Among Best In NJ, US

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The high school was ranked among the best high schools in New Jersey and the United States by U.S. News & World Report.

Ridgewood High School was ranked No. 24 in New Jersey and No. 577 in the country.

Bergen County Academies and Bergen County Technical High School - Teterboro were ranked among the top 103 New Jersey schools to make the annual list.

The Academies was ranked No. 43 in the country and No. 2 in New Jersey. Bergen County Technical High School was ranked No. 58 and No. 3 in the Garden State. Both schools received gold medals from U.S. News & World Report.

Other ranked schools include:

• Bergenfield High School, No. 707 in the U.S., silver
• Leonia High School, No. 852, silver
• Mahwah High School, No. 901, silver
• Ramsey High School, No. 1,119, silver
• Bergen Arts and Sciences Charter School, No. 1,149, silver
• Fair Lawn High School, No. 1,717, silver
• Fort Lee High School, No. 1,791, silver
• Ridgefield Park Jr. Sr. High School, No. 2,638, silver
• Applied Technical High School, Paramus
• Dwight Morrow High School/Academies at Englewood
• Hackensack High School
• Lodi High School

The 2018 best high school rankings were released on Wednesday and evaluate over 20,500 public high schools. U.S. News identified schools that best serve all students and assessed how prepared students are for college-level work. Schools are also recognized with gold, silver and bronze medals with gold indicating the greatest level of college readiness.

Twenty-three New Jersey schools received a gold medal, 39 received a silver medal, and 41 schools received a bronze medal. Bronze medal schools were not ranked nationally.

The highest ranked New Jersey school on the list was 22nd: High Technology High School in Mommouth County.
