Ridgewood Marching Band Named Most Patriotic At State Competition
The band was honored by the United States Marine Corps during a statewide competition Saturday.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The Ridgewood High School marching band was honored for its patriotism at a statewide competition Saturday.
The band received second place in its group and was awarded the 2017 Espirit de Corps Award by the United States Marine Corps at the US Bands New Jersey State Championships at Rutgers University. The award recognizes a band that best demonstrates pride, professionalism and patriotism.
The band will conclude its competitive season in Allentown, Pennsylvania Saturday at the US Band National Championship.

The band has competed in six competitions this season, winning first place in one and never finishing second in the remaining five, including at the State Championship.
