Ridgewood Parishioners Staying At Philadelphia Zoo To See Pope Francis: Report
More than 60 families have signed up to attend the church's trip to the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia in September.
More than 60 families from Our Lady of Mount Carmel church in Ridgewood are signed up to sleep with insects and birds to see Pope Francis.
The families will bring their sleeping bags inside two buildings containing insect and bird exhibits, NorthJersey.com reported, in September as the pope attends the World Meeting of Families, NorthJersey.com reported.
His Holiness’ visit to the meeting is part of his five-day visit to the United States, his first as head of the Roman Catholic Church.

The trip will cost attendees about $120 per person, which, compared to what other people are paying for whatever few hotel accommodations exist, is a bargain. Attendees plan on walking several miles back and forth to the meeting, the report states.
