Ridgewood To Replace Retiring Cops
Six officers will be retiring from the department before the end of the year. Chief John Ward is not retiring in 2015.

Six police officers will retire from the Ridgewood Police Department before the end of the year and officials are already making plans to replace them.
Village Manager Roberta Sonenfeld said two officers have already retired and another four will retire from the department by the end of the year.
Officials will actively recruit and train officers in the fall and plan on starting them full time with the department by the beginning of next year, Sonenfeld said.

Police Chief John Ward, despite rumors, will not retire this year. The Record reported that Ward intends to remain chief for another two years and that Capt. Jacqueline Luthcke is being trained to replace him.
