Ridgewood Resident Nearly Victim Of Craigslist Scam: Police
The resident spotted the scan and cancelled the transaction, police said.

A Ridgewood resident reported being caught up in a Craigslist scam earlier this month, police said.
A Palmer Court resident told police that they tried to sell an item on Craigslist, authorities said.
According to police, the buyer told the resident seller to expect a check for more than the agreed on amount and asked the seller to send a cashier’s check or money order back with the extra money, police said.

The resident realized this is a common scam and did not send the item and cancelled the transaction, police said.
