Ridgewood Resident Reports $10,000 In Credit Card Fraud: Police
Someone fraudulently opened credit card accounts using the resident's identity, police said.

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — A Ridgewood resident reported being the victim of fraud totalling $10,000 recently, the police department said.
The Hamilton Road resident reported to police Saturday that someone fraudulently opened credit card accounts using the resident's identity.
About $10,000 in charges were made in Brooklyn, New York using accounts that have since been cancelled.

The victim also reported receiving a speeding ticket due to someone using their identity during a traffic stop in Brooklyn, police said.
The Ridgewood Police Detective Bureau is investigating the incident.
