Ridgewood School Board Member Resigns

Michele Lenhard resigned her seat effective Aug. 1.

Michele Lenhard has resigned from the Ridgewood Board of Education as of Aug. 1.

The board will interview candidates at its Sept. 21 meeting. The position will be placed on the November 2016 ballot for election to a full three-year term. Applicants must be registered voters who have lived in Ridgewood for at least one year preceding the date of the appointment.

Eligible residents who are interested in completing Lenard’s term, which expires after the board reorganizes in January 2017, can submit an application, resume, and letter of interest to Alfredo Aguilar, the board business administrator, a notice on the district’s website states.

Lenhard served on the board since 2007, NorthJersey.com reported. She resigned because she is moving out of the district.
