Ridgewood Students Working For Change

After the Parkland School Shooting, students are walking out to protest gun violence

After the Parkland School Shooting, four Ridgewood High School Students came together to start the Students Demand Action Club. They wanted to feel safe in their school again after the current tragedies. They decided to join together to start a walkout at their school on March 14th. There, they will commemorate the 17 people killed in Florida. Joining this non-partisan club are 180 other members on their Google Classroom page. The event is students only; however, the club would like to sponser another event for more people in the community. The Ridgewood Walkout already has its own Instagram (@RHSwalkout) and Facebook. These students are defying their young age to make a difference in their community. They also ask that you can donate to support their cause!
