NJ Woman Found Dead In Leaf Pile: Police
A 53-year-old village resident was found dead in a Union Street front yard late Wednesday night, police said.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A village resident was found dead in a leaf pile on Union Street late Wednesday night, Ridgewood police announced.
Police responded to the area at 11:07 p.m. after an area resident reported an unresponsive person laying in a leaf pile. Ridgewood EMS and paramedics responded and determined the person, a 53-year-old Ridgewood woman, had died.
Detectives with the Ridgewood Police, along with the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office are handling the investigation, which is ongoing, police said.

However, police officials said foul play isn't suspected, and there is no danger to the public.
