Scattered Power Outages Still Affecting Bergen County After Storm

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Wednesday's nor'easter brought thunder, high winds, and some power outages to Bergen County.

Even late Thursday morning, outages remained scattered around the county, according to PSE&G.

Late Wednesday, the Ridgewood police posted that several hundred residents were without power on the east side of town:

According to Patch, a total of 24,500 homes in the state were without power at 9 a.m. on Thursday.

By 11 a.m., the PSE&G map showed the most homes without power near Englewood, Teaneck, and Fair Lawn, around 365 households, and some near Dumont.

When's The Next Big Storm?

As for other impacts, the Saddle River reached its 5-foot flood stage around 11 p.m. Wednesday night, during a nor'easter, but has come down. You can see the staging of the river, and how high it is currently, with this link.

The flood watch and wind advisory were expected to expire in the wee hours of Thursday morning. (See current watches here.)
