Snapple Truck Hits Glen Rock Strip Mall, Driver Arrested: Police

After a Snapple truck driver hit a Glen Rock strip mall and fled the scene, the company helped officers track him down, police said.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — After a Snapple truck driver hit a Glen Rock strip mall and fled the scene, the company helped officers track him down, the police department said.

The truck hit the back of the strip mall at 1014 Maple Avenue at around 1:35 p.m. Friday, police reported. A sergeant figured out that the truck belonged to Snapple Distributors of Avondale, New Jersey. The company helped police find the driver, a 40-year-old man from Union, and told him to return to the crash scene.

The Daily Voice identified the driver as Edwin H. Hernandez. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident, police said.

The building was not structurally damaged, and the owner is arranging for repairs according to police.
