Blizzard Warning Issued For Bergen County With High Snow Totals, Wind Gusts

Bergen County is under a blizzard warning, and expected totals were revised again, with more snow Monday.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Bergen County is under a blizzard warning for Sunday into Monday, with forecasters again increasing the estimated snowfall.

The NWS said that in Bergen County, 2-4 inches could fall during the day on Sunday, another 3-5 inches Sunday night into the wee hours, and another 1-3 inches Monday by 1 p.m.

"Travel could be very difficult," the NWS noted. "Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. The combination of gusty winds and heavy wet snow could bring down tree branches."

The town of Teaneck asked residents not to park on emergency routes and gave this guidance.

The warning runs from 1 p.m. Sunday through 6 p.m. Monday.
