Spring Fever - Solo Art Exhibit by Medy Bozkurtian featuring 30 of her recent original watercolor and oil paintings at Ridgewood Library March 2015
Inspired by nature and people, the artist captures the essence of her subjects with expressive realism and a hint of impressionism.
Medy Bozkurtian, a Bulgarian born artist, is a classically trained pianist who expresses her vision through music and painting. She started drawing and piano at a very early age, and later studied piano pedagogy at the Juilliard School of Music and oil painting at the Art Students’ League, both in NYC. She studied watercolor painting at the New Jersey Center for Visual Arts and with noted watercolorists around the world.
Medy’s art is inspired by her world travels and her love of music, people and nature. She captures the essence of her subjects with expressive realism and a hint of impressionism. Her paintings have been in juried exhibits of the American Artists Professional League in NYC, The Catharine Lorillard Art Club in NYC, The North East Watercolor Society, The New Jersey Watercolor Society and the Garden State Watercolor Society, to name a few.
Medy’s work has been represented and sold by Design Domaine Gallery in Bernardsville, Art Chateau Gallery in Chester, and Alfa Art Gallery in New Brunswick, NJ, and is in private and corporate collections in the US and Europe.
