Teacher Used Drugs While Supervising Children: Bergen County Prosecutor
A Nutley woman who works as a teacher was charged with neglect and cruelty to a child in Bergen County, prosecutors say.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Nutley woman was charged with cruelty and neglect of a child on Monday after she used drugs while supervising minors, prosecutors said.
Jenna Junio, 41, who works as a teacher, was arrested in Hackensack, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday.

Prosecutors said that on March 11, they were contacted by the Division of Child Protection & Permanency regarding an alleged incident of child abuse that took place while children were being supervised by Junio.

An investigation by the prosecutor's Special Victims Unit determined that Junio "used narcotics while performing her duties as a teacher and supervising minors under the age of 18," prosecutors said.
She was charged with fourth-degree cruelty and neglect of a child and taken to the Bergen County Jail, prosecutors said.

She made a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court and was released to await further court action.
