Star Bergen Athlete Sexually Assaulted Girl, Prosecutor Says
All-county basketball player Isaiah Drakeford, 18, was charged with aggravated sexual assault, authorities said.

An 18-year-old man and sports star at Ridgefield Park Junior/Senior High School was charged with Monday with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.
Officials at the school learned about an inappropriate relationship between Isaiah Drakeford and a girl who is younger than 13, Grewal said.
The county prosecutor’s office Special Victims Unit and the Ridgefield Park Police Department investigated the relationship and revealed the sexual conduct between Drakeford and the girl in Ridgefield Park, Grewal said.

Drakeford is a basketball star at the school. He was named to the Bergen County Coaches Association’s All-Bergen Second Team in March, NJ.com reported.
Drakeford was sent to the Bergen County Jail on $150,000 bail with no 10 percent cash option. He is prohibited from contacting the girl as a condition of bail.
